First Practice Run after the Race (10 K)

After giving myself a full rest of 5 days I was finally back on the road. Every time I re-start my training after a hard-fought race, I make it a point not to run too much all at once. This is because I do not want to give my body too much pressure too soon. My mind-body is not capable of withstanding enormous amounts of stress for so many weeks in a row.  My stamina is not inexhaustible. There is a certain limit. I use this idea called "peaking" which means slowly building both endurance and speed over a number of weeks. So when one race is over, I reset my mind, and start the job of re-building my endurance at different paces all over again. So I only ran 10 K, which is nothing, compared with the distance and all the hills that I ran last Sunday. But just running that distance at the same pace is boring, so I added some spice to it just to keep myself motivated. Let me show you what I did, and how fast I ran each segment of tonight's regimen.
