I ran 3 K on Thursday night after coming home from a five-day business trip.
I ran the first K at my full marathon pace, and at my half marathon pace in the second lap, and finally at my 10 K pace in the last round.
This way I gradually stimulated different systems that are activated when I run at different paces.
Not a single pain was felt, nor was there any sort of discomfort in any part of my body. I quickly wrapped up the session, took a shower, and hit the bed.
My next conditioning session is on Saturday night, the night before the race.
I'm planning to do a 3 K pace run just to keep my body from getting to relaxed.
